Loan Technical Publications direct from the BGA Library. The Association produces a wide range of literature in the form of Codes of Practice, a Gear Technology Manual and “State of the Art” Technical surveys which are free to members and are listed on our website.

MEMBERSHIP

We are the leading providers of Gear related training in the UK and all of our courses are CPD accredited. Members can receive free online training and up to 40% discount on in person training. Under the supervision of the BGA’s Technical & Research Management Committee, the Association runs a rolling programme of one-day & two-day seminars on various gear related topics. 
Collaborate with the leading Gear experts in the UK to generate new research and discoveries. The BGA has initiated SIGs for Gear Measurement, Splines, ISO 6336 and 5 Axis CNC Machining. Participation is free to interested BGA members and it is anticipated that the SIGs will generate new research projects and input into ISO Standards as well as providing a forum for information exchange.

The British Gear Association (BGA) is a trade association that promotes the technical and commercial interests of manufacturers, distributors, academics and others involved in the Power Transmissions industry in the United Kingdom.

 

The Association speaks with authority on behalf of the industry both nationally and internationally and its ability to help companies and individuals involved in the industry is widely recognised by government, the media and industry. The Association is well-represented on British and International Standard committees and provides the Chair of the British Standards Institution's MCE/5 Committee on Gearing.
