Mid Kent Electrical Engineering began life back in 1955 as a family run business repairing electric motors. Fast forward a little over half a century and the company has grown to become the largest independent engineering organisation of its kind in the South East, operating from 3 different sites covering Kent, Surrey, Sussex, East Sussex, Essex and many more counties in England and Wales, whilst employing over 100 people with an annualised turnover exceeding £10million.

From the beginning, the Company founded by Colin Savage and continued by its present Directors has been developed into the number one provider of bespoke engineering solutions to the clients needs using traditional craft skills as well as the latest technological techniques. If you have an electric motor, pump, gearbox or an engineering problem then MKE will have a solution to meet your needs. At MKE, we pride ourselves on being able to adapt to meet our customers ever changing and evolving requirements, providing efficiently engineered and highly tailored products along side a professional class customer service. Our commitment to quality is evident in our BS.EN.ISO 9001:2000 certification which is audited by the BSI and has been in place since 1993. Our continued accreditation is your guarantee of a first class result, every time.Through the years, the company has expanded and now comprises two main arms “ Electrical and Mechanical, as well as specific Power and Water divisions.

Our customer support provides a central point of contact allowing for rapid response to queries, quotations and enabling the monitoring of work carried out in the workshop. Our highly skilled workforce can provide information and make recommendations should it be required, as well as the ability to deliver the finished article.

The focal point for our operation is the 30,000sq.ft facility based in Sittingbourne, which doubles as the head office. The workshop has a lifting capacity of 20 tonnes.We carry out a wide range of in-house services including: electric motor, pump and gearbox repairs, motor control and panel building, dynamic fan balancing, manufacturing and reclamation of machine parts and specialist project work.

MKE has on-site service teams that have access to our fleet of vehicles (including crane mounted lorries) to offer removal, collection and delivery, all you need to do is contact us and we handle the rest!

We enjoy our work and as a result are available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year with teams that can respond to your emergency breakdown situations, minimising any loss in productivity for the customers. We recognise that any loss in revenue for our customers can be very costly, therefore our ability to respond quickly and efficiently to our customer needs, particularly in emergency situations is of paramount importance.
